The 3B´s Research Group – Biomaterials, Biodegradables & Biomimetics from University of Minho, Portugal, https://3bs.uminho.pt) is coordinating a TWINNING H2020 European project (ACHILLES: https://achilles.i3bs.eu) focused on overcoming specific weaknesses in tendon biology to advance the design of advanced regenerative therapies. In the framework of this project, we have organized a series of three international conferences/workshops, in the recent years, with outstanding feedback from the participants.
The Final Achilles Conference will focus on recent findings and advances and prospects to the future in tendon regeneration will take place in Guimarães, Portugal, from the 25th to the 27th of May 2022.
The Final Achilles Conference will also wrap up the key results and activities implemented during the project, including oral and poster presentations, networking sessions and round table discussions. The event is organized for students, young researchers, and leading international experts interested in key aspects of tendon biology and recent therapies for tendon injuries treatment.
The Final Achilles Conference is being planned to be held as a in person event following all the recommendations and guidelines from the National and European Health authorities, enabling the safe exchange of ideas and scientific results.
